Oct 7, 2021: PPP district president and former National Assembly candidate Malik Ashfaq Khan was killed in Bannu.
Malik Ashfaq Khan was shot dead outside the district court. PPP chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and leaders strongly condemned the incident. Police have registered a case against the accused and started an investigation.
In a report lodged with the police station, the victim’s youth MPA Muhammad Akbar son of Muhammad Ashfaq, resident of Mohalla Bank Bannu City, said that he was present with his father in front of University Plaza outside the district court. Saknae Mamand Khel opened fire, killing his father Malik Ashfaq Khan on the spot. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned the senseless killing of Malik Ashfaq Khan and said that the killers of Malik Ashfaq should be arrested immediately.
He told party workers that yes, PPP Bannu District President Malik Ashfaq Khan’s killers and their patrons will be brought to justice.
In this hour of grief, Ashfaq Khan’s family shares the grief, the PTI government said.
