Baaghi TV: According to reports, the opposition alliance has challenged the victory of Sadiq Sanjrani after its candidate, Yousuf Raza Gillani lost due to the seven rejected votes during the elections.

According to sources, PPP has decided to challenge the victory of Sadiq Sanjrani in the election tribunal after 7 votes were rejected in the Upper House.

PPP’s Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar shared an image and tweeted, “Below is ECP’s view. The election is again being stolen from us in broad daylight. Multiple judgements of courts available where a stamp on the name of the candidate was held to be valid.”

It is to be noted that Senator Sadiq Sanjrani took oath as Senate chairman for the second time on Friday as house members from the opposition caused a commotion over wasted votes.

Pakistan Peoples Party’s Farooq H Naik argued against discarding seven votes which could have meant a win for their candidate Yousuf Raza Gillani.

Sadiq Sanjrani has won the top seat in the upper house of the parliament by receiving 47 votes today against Yousaf Raza Gillani who claimed 44 votes, whereas 7 votes were rendered wasted.
