Presidential Period extended by 6 months in Kashmir

In India, Narendra Modi government has extended 6 months in Presidential time period in Kashmir.

According to the report, State Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik, had proposed to extend presidential time period which has been approved. The Governor’s proposal will be presented in both Houses to be approved by the Parliament. Due to presidential rule, Indian forces have got an open waiver of cruelty and under the so called Public Safety Act, a huge number of Kashmiris has been taken to prison from their homes.

After the meeting of government cabinet, New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Parkash Javadekar, speaking to the media, said that Presidential period is ending on July 2nd in Kashmir while Governor Satya Pal Malik recommended to increase the time by six months, which the Cabinet has approved. He said that the proposal of Governor Satya Pal Malik will be presented in both the two Houses for approval of the Parliament.
