Prince Charles to pay security for Prince Harry and Meghan

London, 3rd April: Prince of Wales, Prince Charles has decided to pay the security of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle while their move to the United States, after President Trump rejected to pay for their protection.

It has been reported that Donald Trump simply refused to pay for the personal security of the couple who has given up their royal rights and have planned to settle in Los Angeles, Meghan’s home town.

“I am a great friend and admirer of the Queen & the United Kingdom. It was reported that Harry and Meghan, who left the Kingdom, would reside permanently in Canada. Now they have left Canada for the U.S. however, the U.S. will not pay for their security protection. They must pay!” Trump exclaimed.

As per the reports, Prince Charles has allocated some amount to pay for the security of his younger son and his wife in the US after they moved from Vancouver, Canada a month back. The insider has claimed it is yet not known how much amount the Prince of Wales will pay, but it will cover half of Markle and Harry’s security.

Trump says US won’t pay Harry and Meghan security

It would be a big cushion of support for Markle and Harry, considering the Duke’s father “does not have an infinite amount of money,” said the source, adding that the income he receives from the Duchy of Cornwall is “around” $26 million annually.

Prince Harry and Meghan claim that they had not planned on asking the US government to pay for their personal security, however, privately funded security arrangements were being made for the couple.

When the couple made their official ‘Megxit’ announcement and moved to Canada, it was reported that the Royal Canadian Mounted Police had provided intermittent security to them and their son Archie.

Their spokesperson had told, that Price Harry 35 and Meghan 38, have shifted from Vancouver to Los Angeles and are staying at a secluded compound amidst the coronavirus pandemic.
