Buckingham Palace has announced that the funeral service of Prince Philip will take place on 17th April. It will be held at St George’s Chapel in Windsor castle. The service is said to be televised at 1400 GMT.
The funeral service will be preceded by a national minute’s silence.
Only close royal family members will be allowed to attend the service following Covid-19 SOPs. There will be no public procession.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman has confirmed that Prince Harry will be attending the funeral of Prince Philip, his grandfather. However, his wife, Meghan Markle wont be joining him.
Meghan Markle is pregnant with her second child due to which doctors had advised her not to travel in her condition. She has sent her heart filled condolences to the Royal Family.
