Lahore, 20th May: PTI’s Atif Khan from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has been appointed as a provincial minister once again.

According to reports, ministers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been given different portfolios. Atif Khan, a key PTI leader, has long been a provincial minister, the administrative affairs department said in a statement.

According to details, Fazal Shakoor has been appointed as the provincial law minister, while Atif Khan, who has been away from the cabinet for a long time, has been assigned to the ministry of food and science and technology.

Shakeel Ahmad Khan has been appointed Minister for Public Health while Khaliq-ur-Rehman will be acting Excise and Taxation Advisor.

Taj Muhammad Tarand has been appointed Special Assistant for Energy.

Similarly, Shafiullah Khan has been appointed as a Special Assistant for Prisons.

It may be recalled that Atif Khan was removed from the cabinet in January last year for mutiny against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan.

During his visit to Peshawar two months ago, the Prime Minister had reconciled Chief Minister KP Mahmood Khan and Governor Shah Salman and Atif Khan, after which the Prime Minister had hinted to Atif Khan to return to the Cabinet.
