Punjab Transporters make an important announcement

Lahore, 20th May: Transporters in Punjab made an important announcement regarding traffic operation.
According to Baaghi TV, this important announcement was made in a meeting with the government delegation of leaders of the All Pakistan Public Transport Association. There will be SOPs on GT Road and Motorways.
According to details, All Pakistan Public Transport Association has announced to run passenger vehicles. In Punjab, vehicles will be operated on GT Road with 20% less fare, but those traveling on the motorway will have to pay the old fare.
Chairman All Pakistan Public Transport Association Ismatullah Niazi while addressing a press conference said that Punjab government is in support of us. However, the motorway issued new SOPs, which was ambiguous.
The Punjab government has promised talks with the Center. He said that there would be SOPs of Punjab on GT Road and SOPs of Federal Government on Motorways. 80% of vehicles travel on the motorway.

Masks and gloves are mandatory for passengers, while those with a fever or cough will not be allowed on the bus.
The provincial government had announced to run public transport before Eid for the convenience of the citizens but the transporters have reservations on the issue of SOPs.
It may be recalled that the Punjab government and transporters had a deadlock on the number of passengers. Transporters refused to drive with 50 percent passengers under the SOP.
Transporters said it was not possible to drive with government SOPs. If you have to keep a social distance of three feet, half of the vehicles will have to be taken empty. Fares may be lower but it is not possible to drive with half the number of passengers.
