Resumption of PIA flights, Ambassadors given important tasks
Pakistani ambassadors posted in different countries have been given the task of resuming Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights to United States (US), United Kingdom (UK) and European countries.
According to the details, on the issue of PIA’s air operations in the United States, United Kingdom and European countries, Pakistani ambassadors stationed abroad were given the task to resume operations.
Sources reveal that Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany Dr Mohammad Faisal has been directed to intensify the liaison with the European Union (EU) for PIA’s air operations in European countries. According to sources, the Dr Faisal will meet the EU officials from next Monday regarding the resumption of PIA flights.

A conversation between the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PIA Air Marshal Arshad Malik and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Germany Dr. Faisal took place in which Arshad Malik said that PIA administration intends to launch air operations in the US, UK and EU countries immediately.
Earlier, the national flag carrier had approached the European Union Air Safety Agency (EASA) on the issue of the EU ban and said that the ICAO had lifted the significant safety concern (SSC) on the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). The ban on flights to Europe and the UK should be lifted.

Furthermore, Pakistan’s national airline said that after the ICAO report, the European Safety Agency should review PIA so that the airline could resume flight operations to the UK and Europe.
