Lahore, 13th August: Advisor to the Railway Minister, Shah Rukh Khan’s name has been included in the Exit Control List (ECL) on the order of the Supreme Court.
According to details, on the orders of the Supreme Court, the Home Ministry has included the name of Advisor Shah Rukh Khan in the ECL. Shah Rukh Khan is the Chief Executive of the Royal Palm Country Club and holds US citizenship.
Earlier, the Supreme Court heard the case of implementation of Old Railway Golf Club. The court expressed frustration over the appointment of Advisor to the Minister of Railways.

According to reports, the court inquired under which law did the Railway Minister appoint Shah Rukh Khan as an advisor? Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan remarked that the golf club is not the private property of anyone. Appointment of people of one’s choice cannot be made in the public office.

In the Royal Palm Lease case, a three-member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial, comprising of Justice Ijaz-ul-Hassan and Justice Jamal Mandokhel took notice of the Railway Minister’s appointment and said that he should immediately refer Shah Rukh Khan and dismiss all responsibilities.
The court also ordered to put the name of Shah Rukh Khan, advisor to the railway minister, on the ECL. It was also ordered to submit a complete record of all the financial activities of Rukh Khan within a week.
