ISLAMABAD, Oct 12 (APP): The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 2 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Monday and closed at Rs163.81 against the previous day’s closing of 163.83.
Meanwhile, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs163.8 and Rs164.5 respectively. In interbank trading, the price of euro appreciated by 13 paisas and closed at Rs193.50 against the last day’s trading of Rs193.37, State Bank of Pakistan reported. The Japanese Yen gained one paisa to close at Rs1.55, whereas an increase of Rs 1.37 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 213.49 as compared to its last closing of Rs212.12.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 1 paisa each to close at Rs 44.59 and Rs 43.66 respectively.
