Russia’s first discounted crude oil cargo reaches Karachi port: Jubilant PM tells nation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday announced that he have fulfilled another of his promises to the nation and glad to announce that the first Russian discounted crude oil cargo has arrived in Karachi and will begin oil discharge tomorrow (Monday).

Prime Minister said that today is a transformative day and the Pakistan is moving one step at a time toward prosperity, economic growth and energy security and affordability.

The premier said that this is the first ever Russian oil cargo to Pakistan and the beginning of a new relationship between Pakistan and Russian Federation.

“I commend all those who remained part of this national endeavor and contributed to translating the promise of Russian oil import into reality, ” he added.
