Lahore, 25th August: The government has taken a decision to reconstitute the Ruwet-e-Hilal Committee and is likely to change the existing organizational structure.

According to Baaghi TV, the government has decided to reconstitute the Ruwet-e-Hilal Committee, with the possibility of changing the existing organizational structure.

Sources said that the Committee will be reconstituted by abolishing it. According to sources, the current chairman and members will also be replaced. And new religious scholars will be added to the committee.

Sources said that the new legislation related to Ruwet-e-Hilal has been completed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has said that the draft law has been prepared and sent to the Ministry of Law.

It may be recalled that the Ruwet-e-Hilal Committee was set up in 1974 under a resolution passed by the National Assembly of Pakistan, and no rules and regulations have been formulated for the work of this committee to date.
