Karachi: Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani while opposing closure of all educational institutions said that class 6 and all higher classes should be continued.
According to details, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani took a stand in the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting chaired by the Federal Minister for Education that children will not be promoted in classes without examinations this year. We suggest that all educational institutions should be closed.
Saeed Ghani said that primary schools in which enrollment is 73% should be closed while classes 6 and above should be continued. The Sindh Education Minister said that it should not be decided to take the ninth to 12th examinations in May-June, the examinations should be held and the future situation should be decided later.

He said that loans should be provided to small private schools on easy terms from banks, the federal government should repay the loan on this loan, adding that giving private loans to government schools would not lead to economic woes.
Saeed Ghani further said that tuition and coaching centers should be included along with schools while non-teaching activities should be stopped in educational institutions.

It may be recalled that the government announced the closure of all educational institutions across the country from November 26 to January 10 and said that educational institutions would be reopened from January 11 if the situation improves.
