Lahore, 24th February: Saudi Crown Prince and de facto ruler, Mohammed bin Salman recently had a successful surgery.

According to Saudi Arabia’s state media reports on Thursday, the country’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has had successful surgery for appendicitis.

The official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the 35-year-old prince had successful laparoscopic surgery on Wednesday morning for appendicitis at King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.

SPA tweeted footage of the prince walking out of the hospital with his entourage and getting into the front passenger seat of a car.

The tweet read, “Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman leaves King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh after being operated on successfully.”

It is to be noted that the crown prince faced criticism over the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi inside the kingdom’s Istanbul consulate in October 2018.

A soon-to-be-released US intelligence report is believed to have concluded that Prince Mohammed was behind the killing.
