Lahore (15th June, 2020): Save yourself and save others too, Corona does not leave anyone behind, Electronic Media Reporters Association (EMRA) sympathetically appeals to the reporters.

According to reports, President of Electronic Media Reporters Association (EMRA) Mohammad Asif Butt, EMRA Secretary Saleem Sheikh and EMRA body reporters are kindly requested to take precautionary measures to prevent serious situations like corona virus.

According to Baaghi TV, EMRA President Mohammad Asif Butt appealed to such reporters who have come across cases of people infected with corona virus in related departments and institutions. They should report on Whatsapp or phone call and avoid visiting such affected institutions and departments on their own for 14 days. So that they can take care of themselves and their families while taking these precautions.

WHO sounds alarm over Coronavirus in Pakistan

EMRA President Muhammad Asif Butt said on the occasion that, the corona virus can be prevented only by taking necessary precautionary measures. Visiting such departments should not be allowed. The number of coronavirus patients is increasing especially in public dealing departments. Complete avoidance and precautionary measures should be taken.

He said that the owners of media houses should also provide relief to the reporters of these departments. So that they can protect themselves and their families from serious situations like that of the corona virus. All reporters should fully comply with SOPs related to corona virus prevention during coverage. So that they can be safe themselves.

Coronavirus: Death toll in Pakistan rises to more than 2,000

Electronic Media Reporters Association (EMRA) President Mohammad Asif Butt, EMRA Secretary Saleem Sheikh and EMRA Body sympathetically appealed to the media owners and reporters that people are infected with Corona virus in major cities like Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Karachi. He cautioned that the number is constantly increasing.

He said that our journalist brothers in these cities are fulfilling their journalistic responsibilities. Instead of going to the courts of people infected with the corona virus, they should get news and reports related to them through WhatsApp or phone call reporting. I hope the media owners will comply with our appeal keeping in view the precious lives of our journalist brothers and their families.
