Karachi, 12th June 2020: As the pandemic COVID-19 is reaching its peak in Pakistan, the School Mafia has put up an unnecessary demand.

According to a report by Baaghi TV, the School Mafia, without considering the betterment of our students and the future they hold for our country wants to endanger the lives of our youth.

According to the reports by The News, The Private Schools Action Committee (PSAC) held a demonstration on Tuesday in front of the Karachi Press Club against the ongoing closure of educational institutions in the province due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The protestors were holding placards demanding that schools should be reopened. According to them, the government did not plan to financially support the private school authorities while they had to pay building rents, utility bills, salaries, and taxes.

Several areas sealed in Islamabad after rapid spread of COVID-19

The government has made such decisions without proper planning.”” style=”default” align=”center” color=”#dd0000″ author_name=”The PSAC leader “][/bs-quote]

He said owners of private schools have no resources to meet their expenditures, while the government keeps on insisting that the owners should provide concession in tuition fees. School owners have followed government’s orders, but authorities have not announced any financial assistance for low-fee institutions, he added.

After private and government schools, madrassas also started online classes

He said the government should introduce some strict standard operating procedures (SOPs) that should be followed in schools so that the resumption and continuity of academic activities can be ensured.

Protesters were adamant that if the government did not allow the reopening of private schools with SOPs, the owners of such institutions would deem themselves free to reopen them on June 15.

This in fact would be a very tough and harsh decision to take, risking the lives of our young generation.

However, parents would not be willing to send their children to school amid the pandemic crisis. If anyone gets infected the whole of the school could be at risk.

The matter concerning the parents is how far can small children or the elder ones follow the safety rules of social distancing and wearing protective masks and gloves?

Students Promotion Notification Issued

Under such a crisis, the school authorities should keep aside their hunger for money and for just a second consider the health and safety of the children.

Children are vulnerable and should not be exposed to such a high risk of the contagious virus disease. The school authorities are requested to consider the betterment of the whole society and come up with some possible solutions for their problems.
