Second phase reopening of schools postponed
Lahore, 18th September: The decision to reopen schools in the second phase has been postponed.
According to the report of Baaghi TV, the decision to open schools in the second phase in Sindh has been postponed. The sixth, seventh and eighth classes will not open from September 21.
Sindh Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that schools were to reopen for classes 6th to 8th in the second phase, but now their are concerns on their opening.

Saeed Ghani has said that no compromise will be made on children’s health. It seems that schools will have to be closed.
Saeed Ghani further said that it is unfortunate that SOPs are still not being implemented in schools. Even yesterday, 4 schools in Orangi Town have been sealed.

Saeed Ghani further added that corona tests of 13 thousand students have been done in schools and colleges, and 88 students including teachers have tested positive.
If it is felt that things are not going in the right direction then we will not delay in closing schools today.

Violations of SOPs are also taking place in government schools, while violations of SOPs are more prevalent in colleges.
Saeed Ghani said that he would discuss the current situation with the NCOC and the Chief Minister.
