Senate Polls: Khaleda Ateeb and Palwasha Khan win seats

Lahore, 3rd March: Khaleda Ateeb and Palwasha Khan from Sindh have won seats in today’s Senate elections 2021.

Baaghi TV: According to the unofficial results pouring in from the Senate elections on Wednesday, MQM’s Khaleda Ateeb and PPP’s Palwasha Khan have been successful in winning seats.

According to reports, the counting of votes for women members has started. 167 ballot were issued. Out of which Palwasha Khan won a seat from Sindh with 60 votes. Khaleda Ateeb got 57 votes and Rukhsana got 57 votes.

As per sources, Palwasha Khan and Khaleda Ateeb have been elected in today’s polling.

Baaghi TV reported earlier that an independent member Abdul Qadir from Balochistan has also won.

According to unofficial results, independent candidate Abdul Qadir has been elected senator from Balochistan for the general seat. According to sources, he had the support of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

PPP’s Shahadat Awan from Sindh has also been elected as a senator.

Secretary-General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Abdul Ghafoor Haideri from Balochistan has also been elected as a senator from the general seat.

Balochistan National Party (BNP) candidate Muhammad Qasim has also won the general seat. He had the support of the Opposition Alliance.

Manzoor Kakar and Sarfraz Bugti have also been elected.
