Shady appointments in CAA – the house of favourites

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) is under hot waters since the recent aircraft crash that took place in Karachi and later in the fake license issue raised by the Ministry of Aviation. According to the details, two sisters working as pilots for PIA made history by becoming the first pair to fly concurrently the Boeing 777 aircraft. However, the pilot sisters are now back in the news but this time, for all the wrong reasons. Both Erum Masood and Maryam Masood were part of the list revealed by Ministry of Aviation which was confirmed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) following their suspension from the national airline. Moreover, history has been made as both sisters are involved in recent incidents causing huge embarrassment to the country. Back in 2019, an ATR plan of PIA (Flight No. PK-605) from Islamabad to Gilgit skidded off the runway while making attempt to land at Gilgit airport.
