Lahore, 7th August: A train, Shah Hussain Express en route from Karachi to Lahore caught fire near Samasata Railway station.
According to details from the Railway officials, the engine of Shah Hussain Express from Karachi to Lahore caught fire near Samasata railway station in Bahawalpur district, Punjab on Saturday.
Railway officials reduced fares on Eid
According to reports, no casualties were reported in the accident, however, the engine was severely damaged.
Meanwhile, local police and aid agencies rushed to the spot on the report of the accident.
According to the station master, the engine of the train caught fire due to a technical fault. He added that now when the fire had been put out, the engine would be repaired and soon the train would be on its way to Lahore.
