Shaukat Tareen soon to be given an important post in the ministry

Lahore, 31st March: Pakistani former finance minister Shaukat Tareen is likely to be made Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Assistant on finance and revenue.

According to reports from Baaghi TV, Shaukat Tareen, the owner of Silk Bank, is soon to be appointed as the Special Assistant to Prime Minister for Finance or as his Finance Advisor.

However, the final decision on whether to appoint Tareen as the financial advisor or SAPM will be made by the premier himself.

Meanwhile, Tareen has shown his desire to work with the government and has asked for 15/20 days’ time before taking on the new appointment.

It is to be noted that on March 29, Prime Minister Imran Khan removed Hafeez sheikh from the post of finance minister and appointed Hammad Azhar as the additional finance minister.
