Sindh High Court has granted 7-day protective bail to former finance minister Miftah Ismail in LNG corruption scam on Friday.

According to reports of Baaghitv, the Sindh High Court (SHC) has given protective bail to former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail and former Managing Director (MD) of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) against surety bonds of Rs.500,000 in mega-corruption case relating to awarding contract of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG).

Earlier National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chief Justice (r) Javed Iqbal has signed arrest-warrant of both persons but Miftah Ismail managed to hoodwink the anti-graft watchdog when NAB team reached his house on Thursday.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi sent on 13-day physical remand.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Miftah Ismail reached the Sindh High Court earlier on the day at 7 am to avoid arrest and spent time at cafeteria of SHC.
