Lahore, 21st May: Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed makes a major announcement in an emergency after the online booking system of railways has failed.

According to Baaghi TV, Federal Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed has announced to open booking counters at railway stations.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that booking counters will be opened in 7 cities including Karachi and Lahore. The online system of railways could not bear the full burden of booking. SOPs will be implemented at railway stations. 60% of passengers can book tickets online and from the booking office when a seat is available.

Pakistan Railways has released the schedule for trains

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said that one counter of reservation centers will be opened in Rawalpindi, Multan, Peshawar, Lahore, Sukkur and Quetta. Reservation counters will be opened in a few hours.

30 Passenger trains have started running, thanks to all the provinces and their chief ministers for their cooperation. It is a mistake to close online booking  24 hours in advance, many people do not know about the online booking system.

Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed further said that as long as PM Khan is with the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, there will be good governance in the country.
