KARACHI, July 12 (Online Int’l): Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday claimed that Sindh is conducting twice as many tests of the novel coronavirus as compared to other provinces of the country.
According to media reports Syed Murad Ali Shah while talking to senior journalists at CM House, said that the government is taking steps to curb the spread of novel coronavirus since February 26. From the start of the pandemic, I have maintained that the disease will spread and we cannot stop it but we can reduce its speed, he added.
CM Sindh further said that his government is increasing facilities in the hospitals but it is difficult to control the pandemic without an effective vaccine as even doctors don’t have treatment for the disease.
He added that a meeting of NCOC, which is chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan, has not been called for a number of days and the NCOC meeting is attended by the Chief Secretary.
