Lahore, 6th May: Pakistan’s leading anchor Mubasher Lucman unfolds mysteries regarding match-fixing and gambling in the game of cricket.

In his latest video, on Mubasher Lucman Official YouTube Channel, the renowned anchor had a session with the stylish lefty Aamer Sohail and the wristy Saleem Malik.

Aamer Sohail was of the opinion that selective justice cannot be tolerated. He was of the opinion that the Pakistan cricket board has failed in handling the matter. Due to mismanagement, bad blood is generated and petty issues become burning topics.

In support of Salim Malik, the flamboyant lefty pointed out the existence of the mafia and manipulators pulling the strings in the cricket board. He in his personal capacity agreed or believes the fact that all names appear mentioned in Justice Qayyum’s report were involved in match-fixing.

According to Sohail, the Cricket Board has double standards may it be the case of Malik or Salman Butt and Pacer Asif or most recently 3 years ban on Umer Akmal.

Salim Malik pleaded that it has been a long journey trying to prove his innocence. When grilled for not speaking or highlighting the real culprits he showed his helplessness in front of the powerful mafia. This successful captain and a veteran of 103 test matches has been denied of the due credit and refrained from the equal opportunity that is the rite of any free citizen of the country.

It was highlighted by both senior players that the Pakistani team was full of differences, grouping always existed and corruption was in the roots. Many questions were raised on Pakistans’ 1994 tour of South African, the Quarterfinal of the 1996 world cup, and the final of 1999.

1990 seems to be the period where grouping in the Pakistani team was out of proportion, Wasim and Waqar both were mentioned by the former captain as main heads for airing grouping and other menaces in candid expression.

Lucman suggested that all the concerned need to sit together and make a serious commitment to finding the solution of all such problems and nip this evil once and for all.

The way forward is the honest and clear stance of the cricket board in devising a strategy for the fair and unprejudiced treatment of players. The time has come to set the personal agendas behind, let the bygones be bygones set the standards, and direct the future of Pakistan cricket in the right direction. If not handled properly it can prove detrimental to Pakistan cricket and youth can easily be misled.

Social media is becoming powerful and now it is no longer possible to isolate or corner a particular individual. The oppressed have a chance to bring his point of view in public and let the masses decide.

Lucman points out that the pandora box is open now, the public will ask questions if Justice Qayyum’s report is so thorough then why some of the players were given leniency whereas few were over reprimanded?

Lucman ends his video saying that the sentiments of the nation are played with and the national color is disgraced when spot-fixing or match-fixing is done to have personal financial gains.
