Lahore, 6th May: With the pandemic fear already across the country, the lockdown has further pressurized the socio-economic sector, forcing many organizations to dismiss their employees.

This situation has crippled the country’s economic conditions to no bounds, but some companies are carrying out the inhuman behavior towards their employees, either firing them or depriving them of their salaries.

According to a report by Baaghi TV, some branches of The City School in Karachi are allegedly carrying out an unethical attitude towards their respected teaching staff. They went against the government’s regulations and terminated the contracts of many teachers prematurely.

The City School is a highly reputable private educational institution that has been serving our great nation of Pakistan for decades.

As per sources, it is reported that yesterday, 5th May 2020, they went against government regulations and prematurely terminated the contracts of almost 100 A-Level teachers across 4 campuses in Karachi.

This includes:

The City School – PAF Chapter College
The City School – Darakhshan Campus
The City School – Gulshan A-Level
The City School – North Nazimabad A-Level

This action has been taken against government directives of dismissing employees during the lockdown due to the global pandemic. This action has been taken in spite of recovering monthly fees from a majority of students.

This action by the school authorities has been taken in the month of Ramadan when the financial burden is high and God has ordained charitable attitude towards society.

These teachers have worked tirelessly ever since the lockdown began to provide high-quality education to students with minimal interruptions and keep them motivated through these troublesome times.

These teachers are pillars of society and they are being used when needed and then thrown out without remorse.

It is urged by the government agencies and social activists to look into this matter and bring about due justice.

We must raise our voice against the unjust action towards the teachers, for the sake of our community, our teachers, for the sake of humanity and justice.
