Lahore: The selected squad for the tour of England will get together at Lahore on 24th June and leave for England on a chartered flight on 28th June. According to details, 29 squad members have been selected for the 3 Tests and 3 T20s scheduled against England. Out of the 14 man support staff of coaches and officials, Bowling Coach Waqar Younis will fly to England directly from Australia and Physiotherapist Cliffe Deacon from South Africa, and the rest will accompany the team on the chartered flight from Lahore.

According to sources, the players will be tested for corona in their own hometowns on 22nd June and gather at a five-star hotel in Lahore on 24th June. They will then be retested for corona on 25th June and if anyone gets a positive result he will be replaced with a player from amongst the reserves and the squad will fly on 28th June.

According to the UK government directions, the team will quarantine for 14 days on arrival in England and the first Test match will begin on 5th August.

It should be noted that the PCB decided not to hold a training camp due to the worsening corona situation in Pakistan. The players will attempt to prepare themselves for the challenge ahead by the 5 weeks time they will get in England.
