No Influence of India behind Player’s Decision, Sri Lankan Minister

COLOMBO: Sri Lankan Sports Minister has claimed that India did not influence players to boycott Pakistan tour.

According to details Sri Lankan Sports Minister Harin Fernando took to twiiter and refuted all the claims made by Fawad Hussain Chaudhry that India had influenced Sri Lankan players to opt out of their upcoming tour to Pakistan. “No truth to reports that India influenced Sri Lankan players not to play in Pakistan.Some decided not to play purely based on 2009 incident. Respecting their decision we picked players who were willing to travel. We have a full strength team & we hope to beat Pakistan in Pakistan.” he said.

Be clear that Sri Lankan Cricket Board on Monday had announced that 10 players, had refused to travel to Pakistan due to security issue. On the other hand, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry claimed that India had influenced Sri Lankan players to opt out of their upcoming tour to Pakistan.
