May 20, 2021 Mumbai: Typhoon Tauktae wreaked havoc in the Indian state of Gujarat. A five-storey residential building collapsed due to strong winds and rains, killing a total of 21 people and scores missing.
A five-storey building collapsed in the Jamalpur area of Ahmedabad on Wednesday as a result of strong winds caused by Typhoon Tauktae. Residents were evacuated from the building on the instructions of the administration and no casualties have been reported so far in the building collapse. India is facing its worst hurricane in 30 years. A powerful hurricane Tauktae with a speed of 185 kmph hit the Indian state of Gujarat, causing waves 10 feet high in the sea and unstoppable rains.
