The storm displaced 200,000 people off the coast of Gujarat, killing 21 and leaving more than 100 missing. The majority of the missing are fishermen who were at sea at the time of the storm. On the other hand, 273 people went missing in the sea off Mumbai, most of them fishermen. Two Indian Navy ships rescued 148 during rescue and search operations.
