Therapy Works CEO Tahir Zahoor Ahmed spoke to the media regarding his side of the story about Zahir and Zakir Jaffer.
Talking to the media, the owner of Therapy Works, as well as his lawyer, said that Zahir Jaffer had no illness when he came to them in 2013.
Tahir Zahoor Ahmed, the owner of Therapy Works, said, “Zahir Jaffer was referred to me as a drinking patient. I said that if he had a drinking habit, he should be admitted to the hospital.”
He further said that Therapy Works is a “medical” scene, not a crime scene, going on to say, “The investigation officer lied to us and made us make a statement. We have all call records, and we called Zakir Jaffer and told him there was a dead body lying there.”
According to Tahir Zahoor, Zakir Jaffer told him that perhaps Zahir Jaffer was too intoxicated which led to him committing the murder. “Zakir Jaffer’s reaction was too minor. Any father who would hear such news should tremble.”
He further went on to say, that he was very experienced in his field but he never imagined it would become such a horrifying case.
He further said that he had received the police challan, going on to say that he had 2 daughters of his own and was grieving Noor Mukadam’s death. “We come here to work, not make money,” he added.
Lawyer Muhammad Shahzad Qureshi said that Therapy Works’ employees had given all their statements to the police, but the police hadn’t taken any actions regarding them. “14 pieces of evidence were taken from the spot which have been sent for forensic analysis. No evidence was erased by us. The police’s attitude in the case has not been positive, and Zahir Jaffer started drama on seeing the police. Before that, however, he was normal.” he said.
