Aug 17, 2021: Sohail Shaheen, a member of the Taliban’s political bureau and former spokesman, said the Taliban would support the Afghan cricket team if it continued its game.
According to details, Sohail Shaheen, a member of the Taliban’s political bureau and former spokesman, told a Pakistani channel that cricket in Afghanistan had started in its early days and he would continue to fully support it.
It should be noted that earlier there were concerns about the future of Afghan cricket. Sohail Shaheen’s remarks on cricket have allayed those concerns. “We assure all diplomats, embassies, consulates and charities, whether they are international or national, that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will not only not create a problem for them, but will facilitate them” he said. He added that all foreign missions and aid organizations will be provided a safe working environment, God willing.
Meanwhile, a local Taliban delegation met with female doctors and ordered the female doctors to continue their duties, saying that they should continue their duties with satisfaction and they should not have any fear. During the meeting, the Taliban also assured full protection to women.
Taliban leaders have said that people should continue to go about their day-to-day lives for now, including women who go to school.
Meanwhile, according to details, a local Taliban delegation met Afghan Sikhs and Hindus at the Kabul Gurdwara and assured them of safety and security.
Sources in Kabul informed that the Taliban assured the Indians living in the country that they would be safe and told them not to leave Afghanistan. Reports are pouring in that the Taliban had made peaceful negotiations with the Sikh and Hindu community living in Afghanistan.
