Taliban Leaders Met With Sikhs, Hindus at Gurdwara in Kabul
Lahore, 16th August: Local Taliban leaders in Kabul had meetings with Afghan Sikhs and Hindus in the Gurdwara situated in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
According to details, a local Taliban delegation met Afghan Sikhs and Hindus at the Kabul Gurdwara and assured them of safety and security.
Sources in Kabul informed that the Taliban assured the Indians living in the country that they would be safe and told them not to leave Afghanistan.
Over 200 Indians, Including Staff, Still Inside Kabul Embassy
According to reports from The Hindu, on Monday, Indian Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh urged the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to arrange the evacuation of all Indians, including 200 Sikhs who were stuck in a gurdwara in Afghanistan.
He said that his government is willing to extend any help needed for the same.
However, reports are pouring in that the Taliban had made peaceful negotiations with the Sikh and Hindu community living in Afghanistan.

According to reports from the Indian news outlet PTI, MAE said that they are in touch with representatives of Afghan Sikh, Hindu communities. Hence, they will facilitate those who want to leave Afghanistan.
