The Shura of Tehreek-e-Labbaik has announced that if any audio or video message is received from the leaders of Tehreek-e-Labbaik who are in jail, it should not be believed and will have no value unless they come on stage and make an announcement from the stage. All important announcements will only be made from the stage.
According to Baaghi TV’s report, the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik is expressing fears that the government may record audio or video messages from Hafiz Saad Rizvi, the head of Tehreek-e-Labbaik, and make it viral on social media. Through the messages he may ask the workers to go home. Thus, the members of the Shura Council TLP say that any such statement will have no value, any believable announcement will be made from the stage centrered for the march.
According to Baaghi TV correspondent Faiz Chughtai, Tehreek-e-Labbaik members are currently present in Rana Town and a fierce clash is going on between the police and Tehreek-e-Labbaik members in Rana Town.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan had a telephone conversation with Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri. Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri reached Lahore from Karachi. Prime Minister Imran Khan also directed Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to reach Lahore. The government team will hold talks with the protesters in Lahore today on the directives of the Prime Minister. The government team will include Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Sheikh Rashid and Raja Basharat. Shiekh Rasheed is also in touch with religious scholars. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri said that the government believes in resolving issues through dialogue and protection of life and property of the people is the top priority of the government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has left for Saudi Arabia with instructions to hold talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik and resolve issues. Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Energy Minister Hamad Azhar and Special Assistant for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam are also accompanying the Prime Minister. The Initiative will attend the Summit Launching Ceremony and provide insights into the challenges facing developing countries due to climate change. PM Imran Khan will also hold bilateral talks with the Saudi leadership and attend an investment promotion event.
Earlier, the Prime Minister recalled Home Minister Sheikh Rashid in view of the current situation in the country. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed arrived in Islamabad on an Air Blue flight PA213 from Sharjah to Islamabad. According to reliable sources, Shiekh Rasheed was being contacted by various religious leaders as soon as he reached Islamabad. Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had agreed with Tehreek-e-Libek that the expulsion of the French ambassador would be discussed in parliament and the arrested workers would be released. The workers were released after the agreement but Hafiz Saad Rizvi is still in jail and the government is not releasing Hafiz Saad Rizvi despite court rulings.
Tehreek-e-Lubaik has demanded the government to fulfill the agreements, expel the French ambassador and release Hafiz Saad Rizvi, the head of Labbaik and give Tehreek-e-Labbaik its constitutional right. Otherwise, the government itself will be responsible for the serious situation in the country.
It is to be noted that Tehreek-e-Labaik was banned by the government. Hafiz Saad Rizvi, son of Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi, was arrested on April 12 from Scheme Mor Chowk, Lahore. Police protested against Hafiz Saad Rizvi on April 16. Detained to stop because his talks with the government had failed and the movement to deport the French ambassador refused to back down.
After the arrest of Saad Rizvi, there was a commotion all over the country and the government banned Tehreek-e-Libek. Tehreek-e-Labeek has filed an appeal against the ban on which the government will decide. Hafiz Saad is still in jail and his party is prohibited.
