Dec 24, 2021: Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that two security personnel were killed during an exchange of fire with terrorists on Friday.

A group of terrorists targeted a security forces check post in Balochistan’s Kech district. According to ISPR, Lance Naik Manzar Abbas, a resident of Khushab district and Abdul Fattah, a resident of Khuzdar were martyred during the exchange of fire. The army’s media wing added that a follow-up operation is currently underway in the area to search for the escaped terrorists.

“The security forces are committed to defeating the operations of enemy elements aimed at undermining the peace, stability and development of Balochistan,” the ISPR said.

The ISPR said that last month, two security personnel were martyred during an engagement with a group of “foreign-backed terrorists” after firing on their check post in the General Tamp area of Balochistan.

The army’s media wing added, “In order to prevent these terrorists from entering the constructed areas, the security forces responded with all available weapons, in which the terrorists suffered heavy losses.”
