Islamabad Accountability Court has ordered video link management for the offender. Asif Zardari has requested to be acquitted by deleting the reference. Asif Zardari has also filed a separate petition to defer the indictment. The court has sought reply from NAB on Asif Zardari’s request today.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari has challenged the indictment in reference to the Thatta water supply contracts. Former President Asif Ali Zardari has filed a petition in the accountability court. The accountability court issued notice to NAB on the request of the former president.

Zardari challenges his indictment proceedings in Thatta Water Supply Reference

Former President Asif Ali Zardari, Farooq H Naik and Asad Abbasi Advocate appeared in the accountability court. Former President Asif Ali Zardari in his petition requested the court to stop the charge and acquit him by deleting the reference.

A few days ago, former President Asif Ali Zardari filed another petition to remove the Park Lane reference. The petition requested the court to declare the reference against Asif Zardari against the law and dismiss it.

It should be noted that former President Asif Ali Zardari had said in reply to NAB regarding Park Lane that Park Lane Company was bought by President Hashwani in 1989. Iqbal Memon, Kim Umar Bilawal, Rehmatullah, Muhammad Younis and Altaf Hussain were my partners. Park Lane owned only 25% of the company and resigned as director on September 1, 2008 before becoming president.

According to NAB, Asif Zardari is a 25% shareholder of Park Lane Company. Asif Zardari took a loan of Rs 1.5 billion by making a fake company Parthenon.

It should be noted that the court has ordered video link management for Asif Zardari.
