The demand for an investigation into war crimes against Israel has gained traction

NEW YORK May 26, 2021: Demands for an investigation into war crimes against Israel have grown, with Muslim countries reportedly calling on the United Nations to hold them accountable for possible crimes during the 11-day standoff between Israel and Hamas.
In this regard, a special meeting of the UN Human Rights Council will be held on Thursday at the request of Pakistan as the Coordinator of the Council of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and at the request of the State of Palestine.
It is also reported that these countries have submitted a draft resolution to establish an independent international commission to investigate human rights violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem, and Israel since April 13. The draft resolution states that the commission will look into all causes of instability and tension, including systematic discrimination and repression based on nationality, ethnicity or religious identity.
