The Olympic torch continues to burn in spite of Corona

May 25, 2021: BaaghiTV: Preparations for the Tokyo Olympics are in full swing despite Corona virus restrictions. Along with these preparations, the journey of the Olympic torch is also underway, but due to the corona virus, this journey of the torch has been severely restricted.

The Tokyo Olympics are set to begin on July 23 and preparations are in the final stages. Hundreds of thousands of people have filed a petition to postpone the event, saying that due to the effects of the quake spreading around the world in Japan. This is not the right time to hold the Olympics. The event will be attended by athletes and officials from around the world, and keeping thousands of people safe from COVID19 is a difficult task.

Japanese officials say stricter protocols are being implemented to make the event safer, and large-scale vaccine centers have been set up in major cities, including Tokyo and Osaka. Olympic Committee Vice President John Coates claimed that all preparations have been completed. The safety of the citizens of Tokyo and all the players is our top priority and we have made preparations.

Speaking about the SOPs, he said that before entering the stadium during the games, the saliva samples of the spectators would be checked with the latest machine, which would immediately reveal their health problems. Meanwhile, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has decided to scan the players’ fingers with a modern card in addition to seeking help from a dog to prevent the use of drugs and narcotics during the games. WADA says the new system is called a dry blood test.

On the other hand, a foreign news agency has conducted a survey in Japan. According to the results, 70% of Japanese citizens are in favor of postponing or canceling the Olympic Games.
