The problem of the Education system in Pakistan and the way forward
Our education system has been brought to light many times, but the real problem is how we use our resources!
The number of out-of-school children and the out-of-school drop-out ratio serves as a wake-up call for those responsible to guarantee the basic education of every child in Pakistan once and for all.
Resources must be mobilized.
Years of trying to get down the drain, the next generation needs as much education as we need to protect the future as 50% dropout is only unacceptable.
Where does our Education system stand?
All efforts to bring out-of-school children back to school will be in vain by the end of the epidemic as it is expected that 100,000 children will be separated from their schools. Where will our education system stand then? Education is the basis of all present and future development.
If we don’t invest now, we will be far from being a developed country. The government of Pakistan needs targeted and concerted efforts to force backward children, especially girls, to stay at home. Growth for education has slowed in the last two decades! Why aren’t we prioritizing basic issues in this country?
The government is doing everything possible to protect our children by assigning mental health counselors for possible education for schools and street children.
Education is the basis of any nation so it should be given priority!
Quality Education, need of the hour!
We should increase investment in this sector so that we can have a healthy education system. The majority of funds allocated for education in Pakistan cover non-development expenditure.
This makes it very difficult for the country to prioritize measures that directly improve student enrollment, retention, and education.
Now the question is how can we stop these dropouts: building and upgrading schools Enrollment drives Scholarships and scholarship programs Improve learning outcomes for students if we are serious about providing great education to all our children So, Pakistan desperately needs harmony and consensus at the national level!!
If it continues to invest at the current rate, Pakistan will need another 42 years to end the current prejudice against out-of-school children. The 1 million dropouts are huge and dangerous. This will affect not only the children but also the future of Pakistan.
CoVID-19 has given us the opportunity to think about how to best support quality education for all. The policy-making and budget division also supports our education system. It should be kept under consideration.
