The United Nations should intervene in Kashmir, President Azad Kashmir

Islamabad, June 4th: Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has said that in view of the rapidly deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir, the United Nations should intervene immediately, convene a meeting of the Security Council to discuss the Kashmir issue and The Secretary-General should appoint his Special Representative to pave the way for a peaceful diplomatic solution to the Kashmir dispute.

The UK should use its influence as a permanent member of the Security Council to convene a meeting of the UN Security Council and play its part in resolving the Kashmir issue through the international community.

He said this while addressing an all-party virtual Kashmir conference organized by Raja Najabat Hussain, head of Tehreek-e-Haq Khudaradiyat International. A majority of British parliamentarians attending the conference said that Kashmir is not a bilateral dispute between India and Pakistan but an international issue and also demanded that the international community intervene to stop human rights violations in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. So that the Kashmir issue can be resolved according to the wishes of the Kashmiri people. In his address as the special guest of the conference, President Sardar Masood Khan thanked all the Parliamentary Political Parties of the British Parliament for expressing concern over the situation in Occupied Kashmir and for emphasizing the need for a peaceful political settlement of the Kashmir dispute. He clarified that Pakistan is ready to resolve the Kashmir issue through all means, including third party mediation, in which Kashmiris should be included as a party. He rejected the position of Kashmir issue as a bilateral issue between Pakistan and India and clarified that Kashmir issue is an international dispute which is still on the agenda of the United Nations.

He also rejected India’s baseless and fabricated allegation that Pakistan was interfering in any way on the other side of the LoC or supporting terrorism. He said that by making these baseless and fabricated allegations, India was trying to cover up its heinous crimes inside occupied Kashmir and divert the world’s attention from the internal situation of Kashmir and India. President Sardar Masood Khan also made it clear that Pakistan is not against the more than one billion people of India but against the extremist and fascist thinking of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the RSS. Which has been adopted against minorities, especially Muslims, to implement the plan of Hindu supremacy in India. “Those who are talking about peace and development have no idea that eight million people of Kashmir are burning in the flames,” he said. Before peace and development, the world must focus on putting out this fire.

In his address, the President of Azad Kashmir said that the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir are victims of Indian brutality. Last month, 31 Kashmiri youths were martyred. He said that according to India itself, there are about 450 militants in Jammu and Kashmir in total. President Masood Khan said that he wanted to highlight the point that the new domicile law in Indian-occupied Kashmir was missing on the global radar screen. And under the guise of COVID-19, India wants to bring Hindus from all over India and settle them in occupied Kashmir under this black law.

In this regard, he wants to resettle all the civil servants, ex-servicemen, teachers, students who have served in Kashmir for ten years in different periods or they have been living in Kashmir for fifteen years or they have completed tenth and twelfth year. Have passed the exam. In addition, he wants to bring Kashmiri refugees living in different cities of India and resettle them back in Kashmir. He said that he was demonstrating extreme speed in these settlements as evidenced by the fact that if a concerned government official could not process the domicile application within 15 days and make it possible for its execution, he would be charged Rs 50,000. Will be fined.

In his address, the President of Azad Kashmir also specially thanked the 600 members of the European Parliament who called for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue through political and diplomatic means and rejected India’s new citizenship law.
