Achakzai just has bamboozled many in the house. He got a rapturous cheer amidst the fiery, turbo-charged PTI legislators. All sides of the divide seemed receptive to what he had only begun to say.

Some were gazing in wonderment majority mesmerized because he conducted the meeting with absolute authority. He was making sense because it was no malarkey.

He addressed the speaker whom he considers a part of the same democratic dispensation. His speech was marked by athos pathos and lagos, emotion, argument and character.

He was very categoric in mentioning as to how after the elections events had unfolded. An unexpected power display. He said the people’s mandate be respected to the fullest.

He said that all parties must join heads to get the country out of the current malaise and the madness with which the establishment meddles undemocratically in our business, which of course is not their realm.

He said it was about time that the army must go back into its barracks. It was in fact drawing a line in the sand kinda moment.

He said that the power of people would lead the country out of the abyss that we have fallen into. He proposed that the judges who stood taller in the most trying times be termed as saviors of the Hackneyed system and fractured constitution. Their children be rewarded with some compensation to uplift their morale. He went on in making his point emphatically that all the workers, political prisoners, in fact, each of those who became martyrs in a bid to climax their political movement are the ones who defied the status quo and could be termed as today’s heroes.

This would be an ideal time to say goodbye to the politicking. The invisible powers that regulate our system, the chokehold must now loosen up, the suffocating system must end and the coercion and duress that we kept succumbing to.

According to some neutral political pundits who said that IK power show across Pakistan was manifestation of those pent up feelings and the ire with which the people had struck back in a push to mitigate the sufferings and the mistrust that had plagued our system for decades. The result of the election had awakened many from their deep slumber.

The prognosis of the problem leads us to one established fact that Khan could be the binding force of this polarized country. The political parties must make a conscious effort towards this end. It will augre well both for the country and political parties alike.

If this opportunity for some reason is missed, that would be a win-win situation for the enemies home and abroad.

Gandapur was equally vociferous. He took the house by storm. His rhetoric belied his demeanour. He promised to root out corruption. But all seemed to be poised towards pure democratic dispensation without any intervention or interference of external forces. Imran Khan wants reconciliation, it’s up to the other representative bodies to get around and solve this predicament. The GDA in Sindh managed to pull mammoth crowds in favour of IK. The pir sahib of pagaro was in sync with what IK had to profess about. That probably is a game changer, Fazal-ur-Rehman speaks of the stolen mandate.

All these people don’t seem to be exhibiting the notion of aggrandisement. They had all jealously guarded their viewpoint for far too long. But they all seem to gravitate around IK’s philosophy of fair play and freer elections.

The winds of change may bring about a change in our old ways of thinking and politicking.

Someone who commented on the writeup said: “Physician heal thy self”, in Punjabi “apoo bandai de putter bano”.

In principle: You yourself should not do anything else except speak the truth. You will never need IMF, WB etc and can even throw the begging bowl away.
