There is no system to nurture talent in the country:Syed Arif Hassan
Retired Lt. Gen. Syed Arif Hassan, president of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA), has acknowledged that there is no talent development system in the country.
Speaking to Geo News, Lieutenant General (retd) Syed Arif Hassan, who has been the President of POA for 17 years, said that there is no system to nurture talent in the country. ۔
Arif Hassan said that no medal has come to Pakistan since 1992. Athletes from all over the country qualified in only two sports.
President POA said that Arshad Nadeem has been performing very well, Talha Talib knew that he is a very good weightlifter, both of them were sure that he would be in a good position in the Olympics.
Keep in mind that Pakistan has failed to win any medal in the Tokyo Olympics.
This time only 10 Pakistani athletes participated in the Olympics who did not win any medals.
