Threat on Western border, fighter jets on alert

It should be noted that General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army, has said that in view of the current situation in the region, war preparations must be increased.
A statement issued by Pakistan Army spokesman Major General Babar Iftikhar on social networking site Twitter said that a Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to review the current situation in the region.
According to DG ISPR, the forum was briefed on the developments in the region, especially the situation along the Line of Control (LoC). The military leadership reviewed the situation on the LoC and operational deployment.

Addressing the conference, the Army Chief said that some elements were involved in hybrid warfare against the vital interests of Pakistan.
Steps should be taken in accordance with government policy regarding hybrid warfare against Pakistan. In view of the current situation in the region, war preparations must be stepped up.
According to the spokesman, the situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir was discussed in detail in the Corps Commanders Conference while the situation in Afghanistan was also reviewed in detail in the conference.
The corps commanders expressed satisfaction over the improved internal security situation in the country. The Army Chief appreciated the performance of the formations in assisting the civil administration in Muharram.
