Trade has got good energy rates, Abdul Razzaq Dawood

Islamabad, September 01, (Online): Trade Adviser Abdul Razzaq Dawood has said that the Ministry of Commerce has achieved good energy rates.

In a statement, he said that a joint meeting of the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Finance was held in which it was agreed to supply 7.5 cents kWh of electricity to the 5 zero rated sector in July and August. He also added that electricity would be supplied at 9 cents a kilowatt from September, Gas would be supplied to the 6.5 zero rated sector at 6. 6.5 MMBTU. He said that in the Corona situation, the Ministry of Commerce got good energy rates for which he was grateful. He further added Exporters should now focus on increasing exports.
