Brussels, June 16th: Despite European countries announcing the lifting of travel bans, there are travel warnings for Spain, Finland, Norway and Sweden, which were part of measures to combat the global corona virus epidemic.

According to the details, European countries had announced the lifting of travel bans from June 15. The German Foreign Ministry had also allowed citizens to travel to 27 European countries.

In this regard, the European Commission says that citizens of European countries will be able to enter their neighboring countries. Effective policies and lockdowns have helped many European countries control the epidemic, but there are still travel warnings for Spain, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

It should be noted that the EU had suggested to the member states that the travel restrictions imposed on those traveling outside the blocked countries which should be gradually lifted from July 1st and a list of countries on which the sanctions could be lifted, should be prepared.

The European Commission, the European Union’s governing body, has called on member states to extend travel restrictions on the blocked until June 15th. The sanctions were part of a crackdown on the global coronavirus epidemic.

EU Home Affairs Commissioner Yello Johansson announced on Thursday that the commission had proposed extending the measures until June 30th and then moving forward with a gradual lifting of sanctions.

Ms Johanson also said the decision to lift sanctions on a particular country should be made in light of the epidemic situation in that country, and whether the country has allowed travelers from the European Union to come.

She said that after discussions among the member countries, a list of countries to be given access to the blocked would be compiled. The commission also recommended that member states ease border controls from June 15th.
