UAE’s Boeing 777-300ER Faces Storm, Severe Damage Reported
Dubai: 777-300ER flight faced heavy rain after departure. Although it Safely landed, UAE’s Boeing 777-300ER reportedly had to return to Milan Malpensa Airport after facing heavy rain after departure. The plane was severely damaged.
According to civil aviation sources, both windshields were shattered during the incident. Sources said that 777 landed safely 90 minutes after departure and no passengers or crew were injured.

According to the ACDEC, the incident took place on Tuesday, July 13, on Emirates Flight EK205 from Malappuram to New York JFK. The Boeing 777-300ER left Milan at 16:23 local time, a few minutes behind schedule. However, the weather conditions were not ideal during the departure, and the plane quickly encountered problems.
Just minutes after takeoff, the flight experienced severe hail. Although aircraft can usually handle adverse weather events, the 777 was severely damaged by the storm. The incident happened just five minutes into the flight, and the pilots immediately turned to make an emergency landing.
