According to the report of Baghi TV, the number of convicts awaiting execution and life imprisonment in the provinces has been presented in the National Assembly.
Regarding the number of convicts, written reply was given by Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid. In the written reply it was said that the number of death penalty convicts in all four provinces is 759, the number of life imprisonment convicts in all four provinces is 14 thousand 318, death penalty convicts in Punjab. The number is 15, the number of convicts sentenced to life imprisonment in Punjab is 7,916.
Sindh has 527 death row convicts, Sindh has 3,536 life imprisonment convicts, Balochistan has 48 death row convicts and 430 death row convicts, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 169 death row convicts. The number of life imprisonment convicts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 1,677.
