Lahore, 28th September: Final decision to open primary classes from 30th September across the country will be taken tomorrow, 29th September 2020.
According to Baaghi TV, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood has said the final decision to allow public and private schools to start primary classes will be taken at a National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting scheduled for September 29.
Shafqat Mahmood said that the primary classes from grade 1 to 5 at schools were scheduled to open from 30th of September, but the final decision in this regard would be taken in the NCOC meeting.
Schools opened all over Sindh including Karachi
Shafqat Mahmood informed that the government is conducting 30,000 COVID-19 tests per day and that too mainly of students and teachers.
The infection rate is less than 1 per cent. He said the closure of educational institutions for 6 months caused huge academic loss to students and it is necessary to continue the classes as things are moving towards betterment.

It is to be noted that the universities, colleges and senior classes across Pakistan reopened from the 15th of September in the first phase.
On September 23, the Federal Ministry of Education gave permission to open middle classes in the schools in the second phase. However, the Sindh Education Department decided to start the second phase from today.
