Why is Firdous Ashiq Awan removed from her post?
Prime Minister Special Assistant for information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has been removed from her services today and the reasons have come forth for her sudden elimination.
According to sources, former special assistant Firdous Ashiq Awan not only lied but also fueled the market of corruption. Internal reasons for her removal have come to light. There have been allegations of financial manipulation from her side.
Firdous Ashiq Awan had kept 3 government vehicles for domestic use which she was not allowed as a special assistant. Firdous had illegally hired 11 employees for her domestic use at government expense. Her gardener and sweeper were on the government’s budget. She used her powers illegally to recruit her family members illegally in PTV.
It should be noted that Firdous Ashiq Awan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Information, was removed from her office today.
Firdous Ashiq Awan dismissed, Shibli Faraz takes charge
It may be mentioned that former DG ISPR Asim Saleem Bajwa has been appointed in place of Firdous Ashiq Awan as Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan for Information.
Senator Shibli Faraz, Leader of the House in the Senate, has been given the post of Federal Minister for Information. These steps taken by the federal government are being hailed as very important.
It should be noted that Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa also holds the post of Chairman CPEC Authority. He was appointed to this important post for four years in November last year. Lieutenant General (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa has also served as the former Spokesman and Commander Southern Command of the Pakistan Army.
