Washington, 6th May: US President Donald Trump has announced to remove the White House Coronavirus Task Force formed during the pandemic, headed by Mike Pence.
According to a report of Baaghi TV, White House has announced to wind down its task force created at the time of coronavirus pandemic. In this regard, US President Donald Trump said that the task force has done its job well and that now it will undergo a change.
The announcement has come at a time when the worse is yet to come, according to the health experts. Trump said the abolition of the task force did not mean the end of the war against the coronavirus. According to the US president, the economy of the state could not be shut down for five years.
He said that the strategy is changing and now we are going to open businesses and social activities in the country.
Trump Announces Suspension of US Immigration
Donald Trump said that a new team is needed now to monitor the rehabilitation process in the country. According to US media, Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law will head the new task force.
Pence insisted that “it really is all a reflection of the tremendous progress we’ve made as a country”, despite data on the continuing public health risk.”
In recent days, Trump has started to amp up talk about reopening the economy, saying Tuesday morning that it was “going to happen pretty fast”.
According to Fauci the virus will be around for quite some time and will resurge, the US needs to increase its testing capacity if it needs to reopen.
It should be noted that the number of deaths due to coronavirus in the world is 258,326 while the virus has infected 3,727,326 people.
A further 1,396 people have died from the Corna virus in the United States, bringing the death toll in the United States to more than 72,271.
