World Kashmir Awareness Forum’s initiative: A New Way to Expose Indian Atrocities
WASHINGTON: World Kashmir Awareness Forum launches Digital Advertising Truck Campaign on Kashmir proposes a new way to expose Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.
The Washington-based forum on World Kashmir Awareness has launched a campaign to expose Indian terrorism in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir through digital advertising trucks.
According to Kashmir Media Service, electronic sign advertisements are being displayed on digital screens mounted on trucks in New York and Washington. The awareness campaign showcases messages that read, ‘Kashmir is under Indian siege,’ ‘Occupied Jammu and Kashmir – the world’s most militarized region,’ ‘Stop genocide in Kashmir’, ‘India stifles freedom of expression in Kashmir’, ‘Hold India accountable for war crimes in Kashmir’ and ‘Freedom for all’.
The trucks appeared on the streets of both the cities on October 27 which marks the darkest day in Kashmir’s history when India landed its troops at Srinagar airport in 1947 against the desire of Kashmiris.
Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fay, General Secretary of World Kashmir Awareness Forum, said in a statement that our goal was to get the message across to the audience in the right places and we succeeded in our goal.
He said that trucks came across all federal buildings, including the State Department, Capitol Hill, the Library of Congress, the Washington Monument, and the White House. Messages were delivered at various museums including Lincoln Memorial, Washington National Cathedral, Indian Embassy, World Bank and IMF.
